3 Et alors, il arriva que le roi fût furieux à cause de leur désobéissance ; c’est pourquoi il donna à Amalickiah le commandement de cette partie de son armée qui obéissait à ses commandements et lui commanda d’aller les forcer à prendre les armes.
4 Or, voici, c’était là le désir d’Amalickiah ; car, étant un homme très subtil pour faire le mal, il avait donc conçu dans son cœur le plan de détrôner le roi des Lamanites.

13 Que personne, lorsqu’il est tenté, ne dise : C’est Dieu qui me tente. Car Dieu ne peut être tenté par le mal, et il ne tente lui-même personne.
14 Mais chacun est tenté quand il est attiré et amorcé par sa propre convoitise.
15 Puis la convoitise, lorsqu’elle a conçu, enfante le péché ; et le péché, étant consommé, produit la mort.

3 And now it came to pass that the king was wroth because of their disobedience; therefore he gave Amalickiah the command of that part of his army which was obedient unto his commands, and commanded him that he should go forth and compel them to arms.
4 Now behold, this was the desire of Amalickiah; for he being a very subtle man to do evil therefore he laid the plan in his heart to dethrone the king of the Lamanites.
