Alma 53:10–22; 56:43–48, 55–56; 57:20–27; 58:39–40 Lorsque j’exerce ma foi en Dieu, il me bénit de son pouvoir merveilleux.

55 Et maintenant, il arriva que lorsqu’ils se furent rendus à nous, voici, je comptai ces jeunes hommes qui avaient combattu avec moi, craignant que beaucoup d’entre eux n’eussent été tués. 56 Mais voici, à ma grande joie, pas une seule âme d’entre eux n’était tombée ; oui, et ils avaient combattu comme avec la force de Dieu ; oui, jamais on n’avait vu des hommes combattre avec une force aussi miraculeuse ; et ils étaient tombés sur les Lamanites avec une puissance tellement grande qu’ils les avaient terrifiés ; c’est à cause de cela que les Lamanites se livrèrent comme prisonniers de guerre.

15 Le serviteur de l’homme de Dieu se leva de bon matin et sortit ; et voici, une troupe entourait la ville, avec des chevaux et des chars. Et le serviteur dit à l’homme de Dieu : Ah ! mon seigneur, comment ferons-nous ? 16 Il répondit : Ne crains point, car ceux qui sont avec nous sont en plus grand nombre que ceux qui sont avec eux. 17 Élisée pria, et dit : Éternel, ouvre ses yeux, pour qu’il voie. Et l’Éternel ouvrit les yeux du serviteur, qui vit la montagne pleine de chevaux et de chars de feu autour d’Élisée.
