Il est bon de « rédiger une histoire ».

D&A 85 : 1-2

1 Le greffier du Seigneur, qu’il a désigné, a le devoir de rédiger une histoire et de tenir un registre général de l’Église, de toutes les choses qui se passent en Sion, et de tous ceux qui consacrent des biens et reçoivent légalement des héritages de l’évêque,

2 ainsi que de leur manière de vivre, de leur foi et de leurs œuvres ; et aussi des apostats qui apostasient après avoir reçu leur héritage.

1 It is the duty of the Lord’s clerk, whom he has appointed, to keep a history, and a general church record of all things that transpire in Zion, and of all those who consecrate properties, and receive inheritances legally from the bishop;

2 And also their manner of life, their faith, and works; and also of the apostates who apostatize after receiving their inheritances.

1 Es el deber del secretario del Señor, a quien él ha nombrado, llevar una historia y un registro general de la iglesia de todas las cosas que acontezcan en Sion, y de todos los que consagren bienes y reciban legalmente heredades del obispo;

2 así como su manera de vivir, su fe y sus obras; y también de los apóstatas que se aparten después de recibir sus heredades.
